Titanium Grade 5 alloy is Ti-6Al-4V (titanium-6 aluminum-4 vanadium) alloy, is one of the most widely used grades in titanium alloys.
It is an α+β titanium alloy with enhanced overall performance achieved through the addition of aluminum (Al) and vanadium (V). Capable of long-term operation at temperatures between 300°C and 400°C while retaining high strength at elevated temperatures, Ti Gr.5 is frequently used in high-temperature applications; it is suitable for manufacturing aero-engine components—such as fan and compressor disks and blades—as well as aircraft airframe components like frames and fittings.
The mechanical properties of titanium Grade 5 alloy make it an irreplaceable material in the demands of "high strength, lightweight and corrosion resistance", especially as a core role in aerospace and medical care fields.
