MATERIAL PROFILE

Nb50Ti Wire

Niobium-titanium alloy wire (Nb-Ti 50%) is a wire made of a niobium-titanium alloy, the main elements of which are niobium (Nb) and titanium (Ti). It may also be referred to as Nb-50Ti, Nb50Ti, or niobium-titanium alloy wire. Nb-Ti alloys possess excellent ductility, malleability, and machinability, and also exhibit low-temperature superconductivity, making them an important alloy in low-temperature superconducting systems.

Nb50Ti50 wire can be produced through vacuum melting, hot working, cold working, drawing, and heat treatment. Various diameters, lengths, surface finishes, and delivery forms can be provided according to customer requirements. The product is available in coils, straight wire, or wound coils and can be custom-manufactured according to the customer’s drawings and technical specifications.

Typical applications for Nb-Ti alloys include superconducting magnets, cryogenic research equipment, superconducting experimental devices, and other specialized fields requiring cryogenic superconducting materials. For customers who require further processing into superconducting wires, materials can be custom-manufactured to meet specific composition, microstructure, processing conditions, and superconducting performance requirements.
