The Nb-1Zr alloy exhibits excellent high-temperature strength, corrosion resistance, and high-temperature stability, while maintaining good ductility, machinability, and weldability.
Nb-1Zr is a well-established niobium alloy included in the ASTM B393-18 standards for strips, sheets, and plates made of niobium and niobium alloys, including R04251 Type 3 (reactor grade) and R04261 Type 4 (commercial grade).
Nb-1Zr plates can be manufactured through rolling, annealing, surface treatment, and precision machining, and can be supplied in various thicknesses, widths, and lengths, with various surface finishes and in various delivery conditions, in accordance with customer requirements.
Niobium and niobium alloys have good corrosion resistance, which is why Nb-1Zr can be used in equipment, parts, and structural components operating in specific corrosive chemical environments.
Nb-1Zr has good heat resistance and creep resistance and can be used in high-temperature structural components in the aerospace industry, in engine components and materials, and in special high-temperature environments.
Nb-1Zr can be used in vacuum equipment, high-temperature furnaces, and other applications where materials must remain stable under high-temperature and vacuum conditions.
Nb-1Zr can also be used in research equipment, special projects, high-temperature components, and custom parts manufactured to customer specifications.
Nb-1Zr can be used in certain specialized corrosive environments. Sheet metal can be used for: parts that come into contact with corrosive environments, cladding for chemical equipment, components of reaction equipment, structural elements in corrosive environments, and specialized chemical equipment.
